Terms of Service
Please read these terms carefully before using our service. Last updated: March 2026.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using the Canada Tax Calculator website ("canadataxcalculator.com"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site. The materials contained on this website are protected by applicable copyright and trademark law.
We reserve the right to update or change our Terms of Service at any time. Your continued use of the service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms. We will notify users of material changes by updating the date at the top of this page.
2. Description of Service
Canada Tax Calculator provides a free, browser-based tool for estimating Canadian federal and provincial income tax obligations, as well as GST/HST calculations. The service is provided on an "as is" basis. All calculations are performed locally within your web browser. No personally identifiable financial data is transmitted to or stored on our servers.
Our calculators are intended for general informational and educational purposes only. The tax estimates produced are approximations based on current tax legislation and should not be interpreted as finalized tax assessments, certified professional advice, or official CRA determinations.
3. Tax Disclaimer
Canada Tax Calculator is an independent tool and is expressly not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), the Government of Canada, or any provincial or territorial government body.
Canadian income tax law is complex and changes annually through the federal budget and provincial budgets. While we make every reasonable effort to keep our calculations current and accurate, we cannot guarantee that the results will reflect every minor change to tax legislation, CRA interpretation bulletins, or personal tax circumstances.
You are strongly encouraged to consult with a qualified Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), tax lawyer, or licensed financial advisor before making financial, investment, or tax-related decisions. Our tool is not a substitute for professional tax advice.
4. Use License
Permission is granted to temporarily access and use the materials on Canada Tax Calculator for personal, non-commercial viewing and estimation purposes only. This constitutes the grant of a license only, not a transfer of title, and under this license you may not:
- Modify or copy the materials for redistribution or commercial use;
- Use the materials for any commercial purpose or for any public display;
- Attempt to decompile or reverse engineer any software contained on the website;
- Remove any copyright or other proprietary notations from the materials;
- Transfer the materials to another person or "mirror" the materials on any other server.
This license shall automatically terminate if you violate any of these restrictions and may be terminated at any time.
5. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall Canada Tax Calculator, its owners, operators, editors, or contributors be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses) arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the materials or services on our website — even if Canada Tax Calculator has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Because some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties or limitations of liability for consequential or incidental damages, these limitations may not apply to you.
6. Third-Party Links and Advertising
Canada Tax Calculator may display third-party advertisements through Google AdSense and may contain links to external websites. These third-party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites.
